James grew up in Bath in the West Country, before moving to London. He ran gastropubs across the city and worked as an Operations Director for a boutique hotel company and English winery, as well as working with and building a tech-start-up.
Scarborough was a much-loved destination for James when he wanted to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. When life called for a change of pace running a boutique bed and breakfast by the sea was the perfect choice. Having lived in Scarborough for six years now he has great local knowledge. He is a keen cook and has a love for many cuisines and experimenting in the kitchen (and bar!).
